Conference Fellowships
Apply for a conference fellowship and seize the opportunity to share your work with the world! Presenting authors can apply for a conference fellowship primarily during the abstract submission period. A limited number of fellowships are awarded in various packages that may include one, two or three of the following:
Final conference fellowship decisions are made once all AAIC 2026 preconference and main conference submissions are complete and are selected for inclusion in the program. Notifications will be sent out in late March 2026.
Organizers and invited speakers related to ISTAART activities may have the opportunity to apply for a conference fellowship after being notified that their event is accepted. However, the primary recommended route for conference fellowships is through abstract submission. Conference fellowships are not guaranteed and consider a number of factors and criteria. In order to apply for a conference fellowship, an individual must be a presenting author of an abstract or ISTAART activity and provide a statement of need (no more than 300 words) in the last step of the submission process.

Final decisions are made once abstracts are selected for inclusion in the AAIC program, with recipients notified by the end of March. Failure to accept the fellowship by the designated date will result in forfeiture of the fellowship.
If you apply for a conference fellowship, please do not register or book your travel for AAIC until you receive the notification as reimbursements are not provided. Failure to adhere to this guideline will result in forfeiture of all or part of the fellowship as determined by the Association.
